Wallbeds with TV's

Wallbeds Northwest designed the first-ever "TV Wallbed" in 1999 and the rest is history.

You can mount most 32" - 42" Flat Screen LCD's or Plasma Screens to the face of the wallbed giving your room a whole new dimension. When the Wallbed is closed you can have a deluxe Home Theater or just a simple extra TV room, and still have a guest room when you need it. With a wireless keyboard and mouse ( and an easy chair) you can even use the Flat Screen as a computer monitor in a Home Office layout.

Most customers have used 42" Screens with some ability to use certain 46" Systems. We have even done a 50" Screen! Before purchasing your Flat Screen you should check with us for dimensions and weight.

Most Wallbeds styles ( Modern, Traditional, Shaker, etc.) can be designed for TV's.

It's not as simple as it looks. First, you need a Wallbed Mechanism that will hold the weight of the Bed Structure and the Mattress as well as the Flat Screen. Then you need space behind the Flat Screen to accommodate all the cords and a way to keep them from binding when the bed is being operated. At Wallbeds Northwest we resolved all those issues over 12 years ago. What makes it all possible is the strength, versatility, and adjustability of the Easy-Lift Wallbed Mechanism.

Adding a Center Section to a Wallbed so that it will accommodate a Flat Screen typically adds $500 to the regular price of the Wallbed. This includes the Heavy Duty Mechanism Upgrade, the redesign of the Wallbed Face, and the Mounting of the Flat Screen (including routing out for cords). Wallbeds with Flat Screens can be very simple and functional ranging from $3000 to $6000. Prices vary depending on the material, style, and layout.
